Trip Overview
Provided below is a list of everything to be expected for your trip, including gear, safety and regulations. Please make sure to read carefully so that there is a full understanding between you and your guides
Clothing
Please check the weather prior to the day of your trip & dress accordingly. Remember it is always colder on the water & when traveling in an open hull. We also ask that you please avoid wearing sandals where we will be working with hooks, fins, and other sharp objects.
Gear
All gear & tackle will be provided for you, along with your fishing license if needed. Passengers are responsible for any gear that is broken or lost overboard & compensation will be required to replace the item(s).
Drugs & Alcohol
Absolutely no illegal substances are allowed on our vessels. Alcohol is allowed but in moderation, for legal purposes. We ask that you drink responsibly to ensure your safety during the trip. Tobacco is also allowed but must be disposed of correctly (no ashing in the boat or throwing butts on the floor, as well as the ocean if avoidable).
Firearms
Absolutely no firearms are allowed on our vessel. Same goes for bananas & suitcases (they are a bad luck charm that is a tale as old as time - Ask crew for history lessons).
Coolers
Fish cooler & storage will be supplied by the captains, as well as one drink cooler that can hold about 30 cans. If you are going to bring your own cooler please limit it to one & consolidate if need be. We will need all of the room possible once the bite is on!
Sea Sickness
If you happen to experience sea sickness, the crew can provide Sea-Bands to help with the discomfort. Any other medications you would rather use must be brought by/for yourself. CHARTERS WILL NOT BE CANCELED DUE TO SEA SICKNESS. Your group can make the decision to call it early, but trips are not generally refunded if this becomes the case.
Fish Handling
Your captains will be responsible for netting & unhooking all fish (this is both for legal purposes & to ensure the highest success rate). Generally, crew will ask you to place your rod in the rod holder & open your bail to relieve any stress or pressure on the rods and the fish. Please do not get overexcited & throw your hands in a fish’s mouth while thrashing around with a hook. They are very sharp and very painful to pull out of a persons hands or any other body part, for that matter.
